We are home! We spent the weekend at the kennel.. It was okay, BUT we found out where mom & dad went - to our friends in Round Rock! We are not very happy about being left out - they saw Lauren & Jonathan! NO FAIR! We love them and have not seen them in a month!

Our mom & dad are going away this weekend AND next weekend. we are going to be boarded. We are not happy. We have started a petition drive to stop this action. We can stay at home by ourselves - we promised no poker parties.

It is too hot here in Texas....over 100 degrees everyday this month so far. We went to our friend's ranch over the weekend. Mom bought us car seats and we love them. We can see out of the window and mom doesn' t yell at us anymore.

We had a field trip today. We went to Petco to get new harnesses for our new doggie car seats. Waylon went too in bis lame stroller. I made friends with the rabbits.

Today mom took us on a walk. We haven't been doing that enough lately because of brother's broken leg...I am so tired of the broken leg. He gets carried around everywhere, he has the softest blankie in his kennel, and his own stroller!! That's okay.. I am getting extra treats and more play time than he is. What I miss the most is sleeping on my brother. My parents are afraid he may get hurt if they leave us alone together...we do tend play a little rough. So I have my own kennel now. My mom found a couple of photos from last year of us sleeping...at least I am not drooling in my sleep.

I am doing MUCH better. It has ben 20 days since my surgery. I am allowed to walk some (not enough in my opinion). My mama bought a dog stroller for me... I thought it was lame at 1st, but actually I love it. I can watch my mama cook when she is in the kitchen instead of being stuck in my dungeon. AND Willlie is so jealous of it.

From Waylon's mama:
I decided to get a 2nd opinion on his leg. The 1st vet said suregery was not mandatory and a splint would work...I just had a bad feeling and took him to a new vet last Monday 6/19 - needless to say surgery was recomended. I was so mad at myself for not getting a 2nd opinion sooner. It also ended up he had a bacteria infection on his skin - the 1st vet scraped his skin and said it was fine. He had it on Friday afternoon -a plate was put in and the length of his leg was saved - he should not have a limp. NOW the hard part - recovery. He is in pain and he does have a pain patch on. It is helping, but his paw pads were swollen this a.m. and I went to the vet around 6am and the bandage became too tight due to swelling. It was re-wrapped and I can tell he is more comfortable and is sleeping right now. At least 2 weeks in the crate - I will probably do 4 weeks. The another 4 weeks after that on restriction - no playing, running, and jumping. (All of his favorite things to do). His brother Willie has adjusted okay - he is not as sad, but very concerned about brother.

Waylon is okay. He went to the vet Monday a.m. and they put a splint/cast on him - for 6 weeks! NO ACTIVITY! Willie is so bummed out. No playmate. He already misses his brother. Waylon vomitted last night and this morning from anesthesia. I think he is holding water down...fingers crossed.

This is has been a very long day so far... Sunday morning started as usual - I just poured my 1st cup of coffee & on the 2nd page of the front page. The puppies were having their morning play time and I heard them run up the stairs and then......CRYING!LOTS OF CRYING! I ran to the garage on the way upstairs to get my hubby and found Waylon screaming. Rushed the emergency vet - broken front left leg above the paw - both bones. He is on pain med & it is splinted. In the a.m. we will go to our vet and have it set...hopefully no surgery will be needed. He is so miserable and Willie is so confused on why brother is laying still and crying. Please pray for Mr. WayWay and I will update tommorrow.

Well Mom is trying to get us in the summer mood - it is just too hot in Texas for BT's - we want the a/c, ice cubes, and our raw hides.

Since we are new - here is some history on us. We were purchased on Nov. 2, 2005 when we were 8 weeks old. Waylon was sick with an upper respitory infection and then Willie caught it. After one month of antibiotics we were better. We had an older brother Sparky, he was older and he had a bad heart. He passed away on Dec. 14, 2005. Our mom was so very sad - they had been together for 10 years.

With all of that going on, Waylon developed "cherry eye" in BOTH eyes. He was miserable. Drops & ointment did not help and he had surgery in January 2006. here are his before and after photos.

This is our favorite toy right now - Mr. Green dog. He is a blast because we can both eat him at the same time. Willie keeps taking him outside and getting him dirty.


My grandpa sent us pictures from out visit last month. Willie chased Tootsie our cousin around the whole time.

Today was a typical Monday.. all we wanted to do was sleep.

Hello - we are Willie & Waylon - 8 month old Boston Terrier brothers. We have lived with our mama & daddy since we were 7 weeks old.






Willie is on the left and I am on the right. I am typing our introduction because my brother is busy sucking on his favorite stuffed lamb - he has named it lam-bo. He has 2 of them.

Here we are with our new life jackets on. Our mom & dad got a boat and they think we may jump out. We would never jump out - they always bring snacks or sandwiches and we never want to miss out on those - or at least at opportunity at them.
